1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Captionit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2Description of Service

Captionit is an AI-powered captioning and transcription plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. The Service includes automatic transcription, translation, text-to-speech, and AI music generation features.

3Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4Subscription and Payments

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
• All payments are processed securely by Paddle (paddle.com).
• Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to local taxes handled by Paddle.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard.

5Free Trial

New users may access a limited free trial (3 minutes of transcription, valid for 7 days). No credit card is required for the Free plan. A credit card is required to activate the trial on paid plans.

6Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract the underlying AI models
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written permission
• Upload content that violates copyright or intellectual property laws

7Intellectual Property

All content, branding, code, and technology within Captionit are the exclusive property of Captionit and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8Third-Party Services

Captionit uses the following third-party services: Google Cloud (Vertex AI, TTS, Gemini), OpenAI Whisper, Paddle (payments), and Supabase (database). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

9Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of transcriptions or translations.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Captionit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

11Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
